19 November 2019 – Brill accepts the book proposal to produce a new and improved edition of Gučetić’s Commentary on  Retorike (ugovor u pripremi). Novo, popravljeno i dopunjeno izdanje ispravit će brojne propuste u Potthoffovu izdanju iz 2006. Ovdje možete usporediti izgled prvog odjeljka u Potthoffovuizdanju i u izdanju koje priprema dr. sc. Gorana Stepanić.

October 2019 – three works of Antun Medo kept in the State Archive in Dubrovnik (In librum duodecimum Metaphysicae Aristotelis expositio [Venetii, 1598.] and In librum septimum Metaphysicae Aristotelis expositio [Venetii, 1599.]) and in the Library of the Franciscan Monastery in Dubrovnik (Quaedam animadversiones in Praedicabilia Porphyrii [Venetii, 1600.]) are scanned and made available to the public on the web-page “Croatian Digital Heritage” curated by the Institute of Philosophy. The first and the third work are the object of research to be done by Dr. Dora Ivanišević and Dr. Pavel Gregorić.

10-12 October 2019 – Dr. Pavel Gregorić attended the conference “Les Quaestiones d’Alexandre d’Aphrodise” in Lyon and have a paper on Quaestio 3.9. [program]

3 June 2019 – opening of the exhibition on the occasion of the 350th anniversary of Matija Frkić’s passing away (1583.-1669.), Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. The author of the exhibition is Dr. Ivana Skuhala Karasman. The exhibition will be open from 3 to 10 June 2019 and subsequently on this web-page. 23-30 April 2019 – Šime Demo visited Biblioteca Apostolica Vaticana, where he inspected Gučetić’s manuscripts Urb. Lat. 1219 and Urb. Lat. 1449. He also consulted and copied some relevant volumes and articles in Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale, Biblioteca Universitaria Alessandrina, and Biblioteca Angelica. [foto1] [foto2]

February 2019 – Croatian translation of the relevant parts of Book III of Aristotle’s  De anima (Chapters 4-8, on the intellect), on which Gučetić wrote a commentary in ms. Urb. Lat. 1449 , the first edition of which will be produced by Dr. Šime Demo within this projet.

January 2019 – copyrights bought from Universitätsverlag Winter from Heidelberga for a new and improved edition of Gučetić’s Commentary on Aristotle’s Rhetoric I, which will be produced by Dr. Gorana Stepanić within this project.
